This is just the way our students really sound. We did nothing to improve the sound of the recording. The sound engineer was a sub so he was not sure how to set the volume for the piano recording. I think he didn’t expect the little violins to have any volume. Even though the piano was a little loud on his second try the students played right up to it. We played ” America the Beautiful” with out piano thinking that would help the sound man with the volume needed. It was the only piece they have not fully memorized. They were unflappable. The older students playing the Humoresque just started Jr. High. I would love to see them have more experience playing for others. It will be so wonderful to hear how they sound together when they are ready to leave for college one day. I want to thank all the parents for getting them to the Civic Center on time …
