What could my violin teacher be thinking?

I’ve been with her for about 8 months and have been playing a year she’s been playing since she was a kid,is in the topeka symphony shes been teaching for some time now and i can tell she has a lot of students too
I first started out with volume 1 of muler rusch book http://www.sheetmusicplus.com/store/smp_inside.html?item=273436&cart=3441700157256531&type=image&page=01&cm_re=detail-_-lookInside-_-thumbnail:
When i got done with it i began sight reading and took tape of violin and started on this book http://www.sheetmusicplus.com/store/smp_inside.html?item=1429844&cart=3441700157256531&type=image&page=01&cm_re=detail-_-lookInside-_-thumbnail:inside
in it we’re now doing spiccatto staccato marcatto dotted quarter notes and so on heres a example of what i’m doing now building technique book

http://s129.photobucket.com/albums/p224/spend782/?action=view&current=100_2968.jpg

along with that she gave me a binder that has two other books we go in and out of one that has third position and the other that has odd rhythmic patterns it’s the most challenging but also my favorite heres a picture of a piece i just got done with http://s129.photobucket.com/albums/p224/spend782/?action=view&current=100_2961.jpg
my teacher said it was hard but i did a a good job on it but now she said we’re going to take a break on that book and focus on this one

she says ppl who have been playing 2-4 years are in this book and i know it’s the 2nd volume of the three but i find that hard to believe since it looks simple it looks like what i’m already doing in the building technique with beautiful music book so i’m a little confused as to what she’s thinking and then after the pink book we’re going to start suzuki book 1 idk what do you think?

My new violin teacher is horrible!?

She really is. I’m a pretty serious musician, and I loved my old teacher, who randomly moved to Utah a few months ago… Anyway, my new teacher never compliments me, even when I know the material, which I usually do. She only ever comments on my shortcomings, and in a mean way at that. I’m not saying that I expect her to sugarcoat everything, and I know that it is probably “for my own good”, but honestly, I have gone from loving the violin to hating it in the few short months that I have been her student. I get nervous and scared before every lesson, and then I play worse as a result. I try to be nice and polite, but I think she hates me! What do I do!?! Please try to help me, any comments are appreciated, and please don’t be mean! :)

Tips on becoming a Suzuki violin teacher?

I am actually only 14 right now, but when I am older I would like to make some extra cash from teaching violin to beginners. I have been taking violin lessons (Suzuki method) since I was 7 years old, and I won a state-wide contest a few years ago. I’ve taught some of my friends to play some simple songs on the violin, too, so I know that I am a pretty good teacher. I would also preferably teach little kids like up to age 8, as I won’t be too old myself.
So I was wondering 1. How old should I be to start teaching?
2. How can I learn to teach violin in the meantime?
3. How could I attract students?
and 4. How much should I charge?
Please just try and answer as many of these questions as you can, and add anything else you think I may need to know. Thank you!

15 year old violin teacher?

I’m a really good violinist and i currently hold the chair of co mistress (2nd chair 1st violin) in the Salina Youth Symphony…and trust me we have some really good players. I’ve been playing the violin for 8 years and have received good scores on my solos in state but…. I’m kind of goofy and immature at times and I’m really forgetful so I’m not so sure I’d be a good teacher.

Right now I’m looking at $30 an hour? I’m not quite sure and I know where I could advertise probably. I just don’t know if I should just ask them to buy Suzuki books or where to start teaching…I’d like to follow the teaching method of my first teacher who did a very good job…but she was strict and I can’t imagine myself being like her. And finally I guess I will need to put time aside for my students and how I’m going to manage time and stuff with school.

Just wondering if I should go ahead and start and what should I consider before I begin.
Hehehe…I missed typing the $ amount…I guess thats important…anyway I’ve heard online that $10-$20 is a good price so I was thinking $15? ish

Violin teacher making me start from beginning?

Ok so I just got this private violin teacher and the first meeting was a little awkward none the less. I played a little for her – Viva La Vida – and we’re basically starting from the beginning like how you hold your bow and what not even though I’ve been playing for 3 years at school. I’m fine with this but since the teacher holds a winter concert I’m a little embarrassed that I might have to play something slow and short. I’ll be a freshmen this year – 14 – and i guess I’m just a little self conscious that I might have to play extremely easy music. Should I be?
