If you wanted to teach in a school or something more professional, then you may need one. If I were you I would post your services on craigslist or in the newspaper. Now if you are wanting to teach in a school as an orchestra teacher then you would have to have a degree of some sort...that you need to check with your state. I would get some business cards made advertising your services and how many years experience you have playing violin. Also mention what levels you would teach. I know lots of friends who have been tutors or instructors of various subjects and musical instruments. Most do not have any sort of degree, just a lot of knowledge or skill as it sounds like you do as well!
